I was looking for a driving school that were a local business with a good reputation with patient and friendly instructors.
My learning to drive experience was much better than I expected. I did not find it easy at first and lacked some confidence. Dean’s teaching method were very good, he was patient and gave good advice and taught well.
I would recommend the driving school as I found the experience enjoyable and positive and felt my instructor knew me and helped with areas which needed improvement.

I called another school before John Harvey Driving School to arrange an appointment and they came across rude about booking lessons, so I left that school and never looked back with JHDS.
Jarno was great, not too pushy just very adaptive and well planned out with progress tracking and reflective learning.
Personally, I'd recommend the driving school due to the straightforwardness of processes and the people within JHDS which I had the pleasure of meeting when taking part in the Big Learner Relay for Children In Need.

Recommendations, friendly and nice instructors were all important criteria to me when I was looking for a driving school. Price and pass rates were also important. My sister passed 1st time with the school so I knew they were good.
I found my lessons much more enjoyable than I thought they would be and I found myself finding things easy to get the hang of. Chris’ teaching methods were very effective and easy to understand.

I chose JHDS from a trusted recommendation from someone who was in a similar situation to myself with young children starting school. I had a very restricted time to learn due to child care so availability and location were important to me.
I was anxious and nervous but John made me see I just needed to focus on each step before moving onto the next. I found Johns teaching methods easily accessible. Seeing demos & re-watching live footage on the iPad was really helpful to make changes & improvements to my driving.
I would definitely recommend the school. As a more mature person learning to drive, you want to know that your driving instructor can make you feel at ease & not worry too much about making mistakes.

The most important criteria to me when I was looking for a driving school was good online reviews particularly from anxious drivers. Also, a school with a good reputation was important. I have held a driving licence in the USA for many years but I was very nervous to start with but Chris was a perfect instructor for me. He is very methodical in his approach and I knew I would be ready for the test with his help. I liked knowing what we would be working on during the next lesson.
I would recommend the driving school as I have been to other schools and JHDS is by far the best! Everything was 5 stars

The most important criteria for me when choosing a driving school was that I wanted a patient, friendly instructor who was able to fit my lessons around my work schedule.
Learning with John was significantly better than the first time I had lessons. His methods were excellent. Very patient, clear and calming. It made learning to drive much more enjoyable than my previous experience.
I would defiantly recommend the school as my driving experience with John made something that I hated doing enjoyable. Having such clear explanations really helped.
There is literally nothing I would of changed about my experience with John Harvey Driving School.

Matt was a great instructor, and really focussed on helping me understand the roads better and how to be a safer driver rather than just getting me to jump through hoops to pass the test.
